Visit Færingehavn, which once housed up to 1000 inhabitants. Færingehavn is a disused fishing station that was founded in 1927.
It takes us a little over 1 hour to get down to Færingehavn. We have about 2 hours on land, where we walk around and enjoy the noisy silence. We can also go inside some of the buildings that hide a lot of history. Before we sail back to Nuuk, we make a short stop at the puffin colony and enjoy the sight of the cute little birds. We are even lucky enough to see a whale or two before we are back in Nuuk.
Welcome to Færingehavn aslo called Nordafar – an amazing destination for nature lovers and adventurers! We would like to take you on an unforgettable hiking tour through this spectacular landscape.
Along the way, you will have the opportunity to see a wide range of North Afar’s famous wildlife, including whales and seals swimming along the coast, giving us a glimpse of their majestic beauty. Our guide will help you spot them and tell you everything you need to know about their behavior and lifestyle.
