Tours in Nuuk - Sailing to Kapisillit & Qoornoq
Kapisillit & Qoornoq
Join us on an unforgettable trip through the Nuuk Fjord!
Lose yourself on a journey through the world’s second-largest fjord system, sailing past mountains with the most wondrous formations. We’ll make a stop at a roaring waterfall along the way. At the end of the fjord, you’ll encounter the village of Kapisillit, proudly perched on the point.
In Kapisillit, you’ll experience the charm, tranquility, and everyday life of a Greenlandic settlement. You’ll have about an hour on land to soak it all in.
We then sail past the mouth of the Icefjord, where beautiful icebergs and floes are released into the fjord system, toward the abandoned village of Qoornoq, where silence speaks. Colorful houses cling to the mountainside — once homes to fishermen and hunters, today summer retreats for people from Nuuk. You’ll land here and feel the strong presence of history. No roads. No shops. Just an incredibly beautiful and peaceful escape from Nuuk’s vibrant city life.
In summer, there are good chances of spotting whales in the fjord. If you’re feeling adventurous, we’ll stop for a dip in the cold, clear waters — so don’t forget your swimwear!
