Qooqqut – Fish’n’dish
Welcome to Qooqqut – Fish’n’dish!
This tour takes you on an unforgettable journey through Nuuk’s stunning fjord, where you will have the opportunity to catch some of the freshest seafood in the world.
The adventure begins with a scenic boat trip to Qooqqut Nuan, a beautiful fishing village located on the west coast of Greenland. As you travel through the fjords, you will be surrounded by towering mountains, sparkling glaciers and the icy waters of the Arctic Ocean.
Upon arrival in Qooqqut Nuan, you will meet your expert fishing guide who will take you to some of the best fishing spots in the area. Using traditional Greenlandic fishing techniques, you will cast your lines and try to catch Arctic char, cod and other fish species that thrive in these pristine waters.
After a successful day of fishing, you will return to Qooqqut, where a team of local chefs will prepare a delicious feast from the fish you have caught. You will have the opportunity to watch and even participate in the cooking process as the chefs use traditional Greenlandic methods to prepare the fish, such as smoking, salting and drying.
As you dine on the freshly cooked fish, you will have the chance to learn about the rich history and culture of Greenlandic fishing, and how it has sustained local communities for generations. You will also have the opportunity to try other local delicacies, such as mussels, shrimp and seaweed.
We will make sure to book a table for you.
