Qeqertarsuaq, the big island
Qeqertarsuaq, located in Western Greenland, is a town situated on the island of the same name, also known as Disko Island. Its name means “the big island” in Greenlandic. The town was originally established in 1773 by whaler Svend Sandgreen.
